Skyros is the southernmost island of Northern Sporades.

An ideal destination for peaceful holidays for both families and groups. It has a special beauty and authenticity that enchants the visitor. It maintains its traditional character with the all-white houses, the cobbled alleys in Chora of Skyros, the traditional carved wooden furniture and c traditional ceramics with Byzantine motifs.

The visitor will have the opportunity to walk around the cobblestones of Chora, visit the square with the statue of the English poet Rupert Brooke and admire the view of the sea. Nearby is the Faltaits Folklore Museum, the Faltaits Open Theater and the Archaeological Museum of the island where finds from the excavations carried out on the island are exhibited.

A little higher, following the cobblestones, you will find the highest point in Chora of Skyros, where the Holy Monastery of Agios Georgios and the island’s Castle are built on a steep rock. The view from above is magnificent.

Another characteristic of Skyros is the contrast of its landscapes. The northwestern part of the island is all green, there is intense vegetation which in some areas reaches the beaches. In the south-eastern part there are mainly rocky mountains and wonderful beaches with sand and pebbles. There are organized and free beaches that can satisfy all swimmers.

Boats go around the island and make visits to sea caves with crystal clear waters and beautiful secluded beaches.

Of course, it is worth seeing up close the famous small Skyrian horse that is preserved on the island and riding in nature.
